Vagbhata Sarani is the research and analysis wing of Swadeshi Science Movement focusing on Ayurveda. It is named after 'Vagbhata', the legendary figure in Indian System of Medicine, "Ayurveda" . Vagbhata Sarani has been functioning for the last two decades and it focuses on the holistic development of ayurvedic studies and practice. It has been conducting a series of Camps, Workshops and Programmes at Academic and Community level on a very regular basis. Vagbhata Sarani has more than 400 ayurvedic practitioners. It has conducted mega Conferences like World Ayurveda Congress in 2002 in which more than 3000 delegates from 28 nations participated.
Vaghbata Sarani has conducted 11 Sasthra Madanam (3 days workshop) on various subjects and Ashtanga Hridaya Satram (7 days training programme - biennial) since 2003. Every year various awareness programmes are conducted on "Dhanwanthari Jayanthi" Many medical camps were conducted at Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts during the Chikun Gunia outbreak Also medical camps are conducted across Kerala against epidemics.
